The new Disability Employment Services (DES) began from 1 July 2018. There are two major problems with the new DES system.
The new system has cut funding to jobseekers with intellectual disaiblity on average by 31%.
There is a lack of information and support to help jobseekers choose DES providers based on past provider outcome performance.
Inclusion Australia, together with Disabled Peoples’ Organisations Australia, has today issued a media statement and papers expressing great disappointment with the reforms to Disabiity Employment Services.
