The Mainstream Health Project Manager position is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in health and disability to deliver a national project as part of the Down syndrome Australia team. The right person for this role is motivated, organised and has experience working with people with a disability. The position will be responsible for implementing a project that aims to improve communication between people with Down syndrome and health professionals. The key activities for this project involve training and supporting people with Down syndrome to be health ambassadors, developing resources and webinars for health professionals, and developing easy read resources. This position will work as part of the Down syndrome Australia team to achieve the organisation’s vision “to where people living with Down syndrome are valued, reach their potential and enjoy social and economic inclusion”
This position reports directly to the CEO of Down syndrome Australia.
Down Syndrome Australia offers a flexible working environment – this position can be based in a home environment or in an office (if desired). The nature of this role and its responsibilities deems that occasionally some work will be required outside normal business hours, and some interstate travel will be required. It is open to applicants Australia wide.
This is a contract part time (0.8 FTE) role to 30 June 2023.
